Tebow Press Conference

I was finally able to get around to watch the Tebow press conference. Basically I wanted to stab myself throughout the entire thing. He was definitely very excited about being a Jet. He said how excited he was about 50 times. It was by far one of the most boring press conferences I have ever seen. There was little humor in it and it was about 30 minutes long. Tebow is definitely a class act though. He was very good about dodging questions as well as giving great answers to the others. A lot of the questions that were asked were relatively the same. The reporters reminded me of the students in my high school classes and how every has to ask the same question. There were three types of questions: Why he chose NYJ, his religious beliefs, and the pressure he will be putting on the team and specifically Mark Sanchez because of how big a figure Tebow is. Also, he talked about how he really did have a say in the matter of where he went. He said he chose the Jets because he knew the organization as a whole. He played for Tony Sparano in the Senior bowl and he said that he met other coaches and players at other sporting events in the past two years of being in the NFL. My favorite answer Tebow gave was when a reporter asked why Tebow doesn't give much insight about his religious beliefs. Tebow responded by basically saying that the press conference is about the New York Jets and it isn't the time and place for religion. It was one of the biggest things that showed me he really understands the game of football and when it's time for football, it's time for football and nothing else.
While I do bash Tebow very often, I do think he is a great person, a great football player, just not a great quarterback. I just feel like he is playing the wrong position. I will mention that Tebow also said he wants to play QB as a Jet and not other positions. Tebow said he believes he was meant to play QB and not running back or tight end. Maybe he wants to play FB because he never ruled that out? Haha just kidding, I highly doubt that. It is by far one of the more boring positions to play yet a very crucial position. Leave your comments below on what you think about the whole Tebow situation.
