Analyzing the 2012 NFL Schedule: AFC South

The AFC South is up now. Might possibly be the worst division in football now.

AFC South:
Houston Texans-
Key Game- Week 12 at Detroit. This is the second game of three in 14 days, and it is on Thanksgiving day. Prime time game against an emerging Detroit team. I think Detroit will improve from last season, and this will be one of the few tests that Houston will need to surpass to prove themselves. I do think that they will win this game as well as take this division. The AFC South will be just abysmal this year with only one team going above .500. The Texans should take this division without a problem
Overall record for the Texans- 12-4

Indianapolis Colts-
Key Game- Week 10 at Jacksonville. The one prime time game that the Colts have all year. Jacksonville isn't that much better than the Colts, and by week 10 I do think Luck will have settled into his role and will push the Colts passed the Jaguars in Luck's first prime time game. I don't think the Colts will win many more games than this one though. The biggest problem is that they "cleaned house" and maybe they should have kept Dallas Clark and a few others because Luck, just like any other rookie, needs a veteran to help them through the season. Irsay has made a lot of mistakes throughout the off-season.
Overall record for the Colts- 3-13 (Only one or two games will be a loss at the hands of Luck. The others will be bad team play)

Jacksonville Jaguars-
Key Game- Week 7 at Oakland. Well, not much to say about this team, except that the only way to go is up. NFL.com gave a low blow to this team, something that shouldn't be said from the league. "Playing at Miami later that month could go a long way toward determining the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft." I see that as something that should be said from us fans and not s much from the league itself, but I do think that it is true. I am one of the few people that does actually believe in Gabbert and I don't think he got a fair observation last year with the lockout. If we evaluate this game from last years season stats, it will be a matchup from one of the best defenses, the Jaguars, versus one of the best offenses in the league, the Raiders. I think if the Jaguars defense can hold up they can push by the Raiders and take this one.
Overall record for the Jaguars- 2-14 (Winless at home but win on the road to Raiders and Dolphins)

Tennessee Titans-
Key Game- Week 9 vs Bears. I think this game could go either way, but I see the Bears winning this one on the road because of the great Bears defense and a younger and less talented Titans defense. I think the Titans would have a lot better chance to go above .500 but there schedule is brutal. The first four games of the season just won't be good. They will start out 0-4 but then go 6-6 in their last few games. Jake Locker will probably take over sometime this season, maybe not because Hasselbeck isn't getting the job done, it also because Locker needs to get the starts. He is young and wasting his career just sitting on the bench. I think Locker can be a good QB when given the chance. I think the Titans are a good organization, but what happened with Vince and Jeff Fisher two season ago just was ugly and really hurt a franchise that was going in the right direction.
Overall record for the Titans- 6-10
